Citadel recognizes that by helping our communities succeed, we are contributing to the success of our customers and potential customers while enhancing Citadel’s commitment to being a partner in our community. This policy is to provide clarity and guidelines regarding Citadel’s social responsibility to position Citadel as a good citizen in the communities in which it serves.

It is Citadel’s intent to support human involvement and/or invest financial resources in charitable, community and civic organizations whose goals and objectives are consistent with the philosophy and principles of Citadel.

• It must be to a local civic, charitable or economic organization. A local organization will have its membership and operation within Citadel’s service areas.
• Projects or events must provide a benefit to a significant portion of the community or Citadel’s customer base.
• It should provide a benefit to Citadel by positive publicity and community goodwill.

• Requests for donations used to promote religious beliefs, political/partisan endorsements, profit organizations, ethnic, labor or fraternal groups, unless the event is consistent with Citadel’s philosophy and corporate objectives nor individuals who are seeking funds for personal endeavors.
• Organizations or causes that:
  1. Do not impact Citadel’s service area
  2. Are based outside of the local area

Citadel will continue to support and give first priority to:

• United Way, Chester County Chapter
• Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM)
• Good Works
• Adopt-a-Highway
• Chester County Library Association 
• Maternal and Child Health Consortium

• All requests for donations must be submitted electronically through Citadel’s Donation Request Form.
• Citadel will consider all requests.
• All requests for donations will be answered in writing.
• Citadel will keep a file of all requests with the written reply.
